The Three Suns - A Swingin' Thing (1964)

Founding member Al Nevins assumes production duties on this LP. Roy Glover provides the creative arrangements and also composed two of the songs ("Nite Trix" and "Painted Desert"). As a big fan of Fats Waller, it's a real pleasure to hear The Three Suns tackle that old classic "Ain't Misbehavin'." For more info on this release, including the original liner notes, check out its page over at Michael David Toth's The Three Suns Universe.

This was originally posted years ago over at the now defunct ROCKOVERGRACELAND blog.

I don't know if you never see portofino in true. Is a very "amour" place.

I live there!

Hi, Kevin!

Since you're the single best 3 Suns blogger out there, I thought I tell you that I posted the 1958 "Having A Ball with The Three Suns". My rip comes from a rather 'bally' vinyl copy, so don't expect clean nuclear hi-fi, but it's still nice and warm to hear.

I was deeply searching The Three Suns especially for 'Anna,' 'Peg O My Heart,' 'Arrevederci Roma,' and 'Delicado.' I had these Tracks on Reel Tapes, which have been damaged. I am thank ful to you for this sharing.

I was lucky enough to be in the recording studio at the Waldorf in NYC when the guys put down "Sweet Georgia Brown". It was so much fun reminiscing about that day as I listened to it again.
